Subject: 21258/Agmt/Co&Army/StrmbkStabProject Date: Fri, 19 Nov 1993 09:13:43 -0500 RESOLUTION NO. 21258 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A JOINT CONTRACT WITH HAMILTON COUNTY AND THE ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS FOR A FEASIBILITY STUDY OF BANK STABILIZATION PROJECTS AUTHORIZED BY THE WATER RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1996. WHEREAS, the Water Resources Development Act of 1996 authorizes $7.5 million to our community for bank stabilization projects; and WHEREAS, these projects will help protect existing and future phases of the Tennessee Riverpark trail system; and WHEREAS, the Army Corps of Engineers, which will carry out the projects, requires a Feasibility Study; and WHEREAS, the cost of this Study will not exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00), of the City of Chattanooga's share is Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Hamilton County and the Army Corps of Engineers for a Feasibility Study of projects authorized by the Water Resources Development Act of 1996.
